I decided to study in Italy because I’d wanted to go ever since I was a kid. Italy is wonderful and Perugia is a unique city, but the real reason I loved it was the people I met there. Whether it was a professor telling us about Italian culture or bothering the staff with dozens of travel questions, the people are truly the best part of Umbra.

Last week, Prof. Luis Orozco (University of Maryland) took his physics students from ISI Florence to the Biblioteca Riccardiana to see the famous MS. Ricc. 106. Written in Latin by artist Piero della Francesca and provided with drawings and notes in his own hand, that precious manuscript contains works by Archimedes on geometry. ㅤ Prof. Orozco’s students had the opportunity to see that codex in person thanks to the generosity of Dr. Francesca Gallori (Director, Biblioteca Riccardiana) and the partnership that joins her library with ISI Florence. ㅤ We wish to thank once again Dr. Gallori and her wonderful staff at the Biblioteca Riccardiana for making this unique visit possible. ㅤ @UniversityofMar #stemabroad #physics #isiabroad #isiflorence #handson #seeingisbelieving @umdeducationabroad #bibliotecariccardiana...
